The filly

I have been looking for a Rubick filly since I started to realize how good Rubisaki was.

It has taken me three years to find a filly that passed our criteria on type and pedigree with this filly ticking all the boxes.

She is a stunning filly with a great hindquarter and good deep girth. She is also an attractive looking filly and terrific walker. She gets around so well and is extraordinarily strong through the hocks. These are similar characteristics to Rubisaki.I was thrilled when I found her at the Inglis Classic Sale. She vetted out without any issues with our vet Dr. Tim Roberts commenting how nice a filly she was.

The filly is by Rubick who has done a good job at stud with Rubisaki his best performer with three Group wins. He also has the Everest winner Yes Yes Yes with ten other stakes horses to his credit. Mark Kavanagh was the under bidder on this filly which is interesting as the Kavanagh’s have the stakes performer Excess Funds in the stable.

Lanikai is by the super sire I Am Invincible. She was a fast mare which won twice in the city including one in Sydney.

She is out of the Flying Spur mare Rivers Secret who threw seven winners from eight to race including the Peace No War the winner of the Singapore Magic Millions 2yo Classic and the current Hong Kong horse Prince Of Gems.

Rivers Secret comes out of one of the very best families in the stud book with her dam throwing River Dove, the dam of successful sire Headwater. River Dove was a Group 1 winner.

This family also includes the Group 3 winner Kulgrinda, NZ Derby winner Crown Prosecutor and top Hong Kong sprinter and sire Oneworld as well as the winner of 12 with six in succession in First Command.

I have no doubt this filly will run as a 2yo and cannot wait for her to race.
