When I inspected the progeny of Daumier at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Sale I was somewhat taken back with how good they were.  They are super types.  This filly is very athletic and has a real touch of class about her. She looks like a 2yo with her sire being the equal best 2yo colt of his year in Australia.  The 2nd and 3rd dams were very good two year old winners with Dominant Lady debuting as an early 2yo in the NJC Max Lees Classic.  These results point to our filly getting up going early.  Patrick Payne has won two Adelaide Magic Millions Two Year Old Classics for Prime Thoroughbreds.

On what I’ve seen Daumier has a great chance of being a successful sire.  I have had great success syndicating the progeny of first season sires.  I have highlighted some of our successes below.

Daumier

Daumier is an outstanding looking horse and was a highly precocious 2yo winning the MRC Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes and Blue Diamond Prelude.  He was also 4th in the ATC Group 1 Sire’s Produce Stakes and Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes.   There are only five Group 1 races in Australia for 2yo’s.

 He is by Epaulette who is by Commands one of Danehill’s best sons to go to stud with Danehill being the biggest ever influence on our industry. Currently four of the top five sires on the Australian Sires List are by or trace to Danehill.  The same can be said for the Broodmare Sire List.

He has a great female line being out of a Street Cry mare with his second dam being the multiple Group winning Lonhro mare Parables.

 I have been impressed with his yearlings.  They are attractive, athletic horses.

Dominant Lass

Dominant Lass is by super sire I Am Invincible.  This is her second foal.  The first one is named Minello by Ole Kirk trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman.

 She is from another great running family with the second dam being the six time stakes winner Sensible Lass by Street Sense.  This sees our filly having a double cross to Street Cry which our very good mare Shadhavar also possesses.

This is a stunning filly and I expect her to run early.  Patrick and Michelle will do a great job with her.
